Branches Atelier Institute

believes that…

We believe that educational, social, and environmental change can’t be a curriculum that happens once a year, or only when issues arise; but must be a way of life, threaded through all that we do with young children and integrated through all areas of the curriculum throughout the entire year.

We are passionate about developing creativity, imaginative thinking, resiliency, problem-solving, compassion, and empathy in young children.

“When my daughter started kindergarten, her teacher asked her what she had liked about her preschool, and she said, “It felt like home.” As a parent, I love that description: Branches was a sanctuary for our children, where we trusted the teachers as partners in guiding and growing our children, where the teachers and classmates felt like family.”

-Rosalie Ward

We know that children can communicate their ideas and theories in many different ways, using all kinds of narratives and materials.

Integrating all areas of contemporary academics throughout all areas of the curriculum offers children deeper and richer educational experiences.

Learning should be challenging, but also, joyful.

Children learn best through immersive, hands-on educational experiences with beautiful, interesting, sustainable, creative materials and media at home and at school.

If you have a child, Patricia’s courses, and learning opportunities are a MUST-KNOW!
